A page does not need to explain everything at once. Give the eye a place to rest. Let the important thing be obvious, and let the rest be discovered. The same may be true of a day.

The best animation answers a small question: where did that go, where did this come from, what just changed? If the movement does not help answer one of those questions, try removing it.

Collect fragments without deciding what they are for. A sentence, a color, a way of arranging a room. Connections often arrive long after the original observation.

Choose one thing that can be made complete today. Make it clear, make it work, and put it somewhere you can return to. Small finished things build a useful kind of momentum.
